Frush Review and Giveaway

Recently, I was contacted by a brand called Frush to host a product review – they also sent a few extra items for me to give away!

On their website, they describe Frush as:

früsh™ is real fruit blended together with rich, creamy yogurt and all-natural health boosters like probiotics, calcium, and  fiber. It’s a delicious, on-the-go superdrink that lets you eat healthier without having to turn your world upside down. Add some nutritious “feel-good” to your daily routine.

I was sent a box of several drinks to try and share – there were four flavors in all.

Strawberry Banana, Strawberry, Peach, and Blueberry

As my first tester group, I brought Frush samples to church with me and asked my Wednesday night middle school/high school girls to try them out!

I gave each girl a slip of paper and asked them to rate their favorites!

The overall favorite was Peach with Strawberry as a close second!

The girls least favorite was Blueberry, even though I really like the blueberry flavor! Ah well, each to his own! :0)

After letting my Junior High/High School girls taste them, I took the remaining samples to my Brother/Sister-In-Law’s house! (I wanted to have the opinions on Frush  of a wide variety of age groups.)

Yay Frush!

My family loved Frush!! Everyone really enjoyed all of the flavors and each person’s favorite was different!

The only thing we didn’t like about Frush was the high sugar content. Also, sugar is an added ingredient in each flavor. However, if you are looking for protein, this beverage has 9 grams in each flavor!

Frush makes a great afternoon snack, too!

Kayla and I give Frush two thumbs up! :0)

Cardiologist

Thanks for all the concern over my Post Race Scare!

IMG_8663

I made an appointment to see a Cardiologist this week. He ordered several labs, a chest xray, and a 12 lead EKG.

I was super impressed by the amazing new check-in process at the Dr.’s office!

I hate paper gowns. Yuck.

After a long wait, I finally saw a Cardiologist. I was very impressed (and a little worried) that the Cardiologist himself was going to see me, not his Nurse Practitioner. However, I had nothing to worry about!

He sat and talked with me for a while, reviewed all of my symptoms, & diagnosed me as having:

Paroxysmal Supraventricular Tachycardia.

The electrical impulses in my heart sometimes don’t connect and that’s when my heart jumps into a super fast rhythm. He said there’s nothing that can be done about it – it happens and it’s fairly common. He instructed me to continue holding my breath and bearing down until it returns to normal. Another suggestion he gave - put ice water on my face, neck, and hands.

Hopefully, I won’t have to deal with this again for such a prolonged length of time. When it happens again, if I’m near a hospital at all, he wants me to try to get an EKG just to get a better idea of my heart rhythm at that time. The pattern is so unpredictable, I don’t even know if that would be possible but we will see what happens!

So yes, I’m alright – nothing major is wrong with me, SVT is fairly common and happens to lots of people. I just need to make sure I’m well hydrated before a race and I need to take it easy on bad race days. :0)

Thanks again for all of the concern! You guys make me smile!!
