Long Run, Productions, & Snow Cones!

HOW is it Monday  already?! I’m pretty sure I blinked and the weekend was over like that…  Thankfully, I don’t have any meetings or events tonight, so my life can somewhat return to normal now that the production is over!

Saturday morning, I met up with my running group for a 10 mile run. It was a little chilly at the beginning, so I wore a long sleeved shirt and regretted it about halfway through my run. Oh well. At least it was a cute shirt! :)

I took the run a little slower than normal because my knee started bothering me about halfway through.

I was going to attempt a 12 mile run but decided to cut it down to 10 when my knee started acting crazy. This is the longest I’m going to run before the Diva’s Half Marathon in a few weeks. Twelve miles is what I prefer as my longest training run before a half marathon, but I’m not running Diva’s for time so it’s ok. I also want my knee to feel good for the race and that’s the most important thing!

After the run, I came home and stained the planks of the deck in our backyard…..then I convinced my husband to take me to get a snow cone!

This one’s a new creation called “The Little Mermaid” and oh my goodness….it was delicious!

Friday night, Saturday night, and all day Sunday were filled with rehearsals and performances of our Easter Production.

I was Mary, the mother of Jesus. I didn’t have a baby doll for our first few run-throughs, so it ranged from Big Bird to Hello Kitty to (finally) a “real” baby doll.

Overall, the production went really well and everything flowed smooth! I love being a part of these but it’s exhausting at the same time. Seriously, I can’t tell you how much I’m looking forward to a night off tonight!

Lunch at McAlister’s was a must this weekend, too (of course)! :)

How was your weekend? Anything exciting happen?

It’s Production Time!

Almost every night this week, I’ve been at one sort of rehearsal or another for our upcoming Easter Production. Our production is named, “Life, Death, and Two Strips of Bacon” and it is totally a non-traditional Easter Production (aka no music)! The scenes are set in a local diner and I play the part of a young waitress who is full of energy. (I’ve never been a waitress before and am WAY too clumsy for that, so this is a stretch for me…)

Prior to Tech Rehearsal last night, Jason and I had Mexican for dinner.

We split the fajitas for two and it was oh so very good!

Here’s my apron for the production. The “S” is for my character name, Serena. I threw in the megaphone because Serena has a lot of spirit for her local school. The frog is cute but he serves an additional purpose - Sunday is St. Patrick's Day and the frog is my means of “wearing green”! Our costumes have no green in them at all and we are performing Sunday morning and Sunday night…so yeah, I had to find an alternative route! Mickey and Minnie are there, too….that’s just because I couldn’t leave them out! :0)

Here’s the weekend schedule:

Friday Night: Dress Rehearsal
Saturday Night: Performance
Sunday Morning: Performance
Sunday Night: Performance

…..and I have a 5K thrown in there somewhere! :0)

I’ll be back on Monday but until then, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

Also, don’t forget to check out my Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil Giveaway! You have until Tuesday, March 19th to enter!

Instead of telling you about my day, I decided to show you! I hope you enjoy this short vlog of a day in my life! :0)

A Day In My Life :0)

Our production is definitely a work in progress. It’s coming along even though it’s a very slow process, I know our production nights are going to be great!

We are SO blessed with lots of talent at our church…one of our cast mates created this entire set and did an amazing job! Our theme is set around a diner, so our whole set has a very diner-ish feel! I’m really looking forward to the finished product!

Thanks for following along with my day! Believe it or not, I was on time for everything except production rehearsal…I was about 5 minutes late to that. Overall, yesterday was not as bad as I thought it would be…I got everything accomplished on my list! Yay!

Hope you enjoyed the vlog! :0)

How do you handle busy days? Do you ever have a day that’s full of meetings?
