Fitness Friday–3/14

FitnessFriday

Next Race: St. Patrick’s Day 3 miler on Saturday

Here’s how this past week looked:

Saturday – 6 mile run
Sunday – Cross Train
Monday – Rest Day
Tuesday – 3 miles with Jason
Wednesday – Rest Day
Thursday – 4 mile run – was going to be 3 but I felt so great, I kept running!
Friday – Not sure yet… :D

On Saturday morning, I did NOT feel like leaving my nice warm to meet up with my running group. I decided that was silly because others run when snow is covering the ground and it was a beautiful day here. Somehow I talked my lazy self into getting out of bed.

Six Mile Run

I was only going to run 5 miles but decided to keep going for six and make it worth my while! :0)

6 Mile Run

This is sad but true – my main motivation for getting out of bed was breakfast and hazelnut coffee from Panera post run.

I enjoyed every bit of it, too!

Yesterday was another gorgeous day! Spring is definitely in the air and I enjoyed running in my colorful Running Skirts attire!

Again, I was only going to run 3 miles – at mile three, I decided to keep going for four! (That seems to be happening a lot lately!)

4 Mile Run

Yet another beautiful day! I love Spring and extra daylight!

I’ll admit, I didn’t cross train as much this week as I planned. Hopefully I can add a few days in to next week’s routine!

Have a wonderful weekend! I’m running a 3 Miler on Saturday with my sister in law…what are you doing this weekend?

  1. Your 3 miler sounds fun! I'm gonna continue with my stretches and exercises this weekend so I can hopefully go on my first run post injury on Tuesday!

  2. Mmm Panera breakfast and coffee is the best! I personally prefer it over starbucks any day.

I am so glad we have extra daylight now, too. Losing an hour of sleep stinks but it's definitely worth it with the sun out longer.

Good luck at your race Saturday!

  5. I am so happy spring is on its way. I know winter in the south is short, but it's been brutal. I want to run outside again and enjoy the sun :)

  10. We always go out for brunch after our Saturday runs. I think it's the main (or only) reason we get out there every week. :) I'll be doing an 8k at the beach tomorrow and then volunteering for the Shamrock half/full on Sunday. It should be a nice weekend.
