Weekend Recap - Smoothies & Relaxation & Dessert!

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Mine went pretty well and although it was busy, I definitely made time to enjoy the down time too!

It all began on Friday afternoon after work - I stopped by my new favorite smoothie shop and tried a new (to me) smoothie, the PB&A.

Although the ingredients of this smoothie sounded odd (zucchini and beets..among others of course), it was AMAZING!

Lucky for me, the smoothie place was right next door to the spa where my massage was to take place!

I had a gift card left over for Christmas and with my recent hamstring issues, I decided to use it.

This massage therapist was new to me and I'm pretty sure I'll request her when I return. She did an excellent job and I felt great afterwards!

After the massage, I stopped by Jason's sister's house to pick up Brayden. Jason's parent's watch him on Fridays for us and they also had Jason's sister's kids, so I got to see everyone!

These two crack me up. Brayden thinks is cousin is absolutely hilarious and when they play, he just laughs and laughs!  I'm so glad he will have the opportunity to grow up with cousins his age!

On Saturday morning, I set out for a 10 mile run but only made 6 miles - I'll tell you all about it on Friday's weekly recap!

Saturday also included a birthday party for Jason's dad as well as a get together with friends!

One of them mentioned that we hadn't eaten Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake in a while, so I made it after returning home from the party.

Doesn't that look delicious?! Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce and there you go!

My friends also mentioned that we hadn't had a Darrell's poboy in a while and they were right. Y'all. These poboys are AMAZING. If you ever come to Southwest Louisiana, message me and I'll tell you the good places to eat!

 My crew! :)

Sunday rolled around and so did another fun day!

One of our "things" is that we take a picture of Brayden every day to send to my parents (I've been doing this since his birth and when I went back to work, my dad asked me to continue it).

So, I set him up against the wall on Sunday and this is what I got....

I promise I didn't pose him or anything - this reminded me of a little model pose! He cracks me up!

A little peek-a-boo and I got a smile! :)

After church on Sunday, I visited with my friend Heather, then Jason, Brayden, and I had dinner and we went for a little swim! We are LOVING our little Amazon pool! We've had it since the 4th of July weekend and have enjoyed it a bunch! It's also nice because Brayden is getting acclimated to the water and he's enjoying it too!

Well, that's my weekend in a nutshell! How was yours? Hope you had a great one!
