It’s time! :0)

The weekend has finally come!

It’s Marathon weekend (well Half Marathon weekend for me at least)!

I’m so excited I can’t wait!  To top it all off, I get to see my brother/sister in law and some of my good friends this weekend!  Yay!

Incase you didn’t already know, I’m running this race with the American Cancer Society’s DetermiNation team. This is my first year doing this and I’m so excited to be a part of all the fun!

My race outfit!  I was going to wear my red/white solid skirt but I opted for my red/white mini dot.  It’s given me good luck in the past so why not! :0)

Although, I’m not sure if this is the shirt we are supposed to run in or not!  They mentioned something about a “recommit” shirt (which is what we did this year to say yes we really do want to still run with ACS) but I’m not sure if it’s a t-shirt or what so I guess we’ll see!

Last but not least….

A sign to pin on my back in memory of loved ones who lost their lives to this terrible disease.

I won’t blog again until Sunday night when I have all my pictures together!  Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!! :0)

"You have to wonder at times what you're doing out there. Over the years, I've given myself a thousand reasons to keep running, but it always comes back to where it started. It comes down to self-satisfaction and a sense of achievement."
- Steve Prefontaine

…and just cause this one cracked me up…

“If you run 100 miles a week, you can eat anything you want -- Why? Because
(a) you'll burn all the calories you consume,
(b) you deserve it, and
(c) you'll be injured soon and back on a restricted diet anyway.”
