Do you usually fly out of an airport close to home for vacations or do you have to drive out of town to fly?

  1. I fly out of one of Dallas' airports. I'm usually quite tired after flying back so I don't want to drive too long to get home.

    1. That's our dilemma, too - we are usually really tired after traveling. Our local airport is so small, it's rather pricey to fly in and out of - so we don't have much of a choice. Ah well.

  2. Omg I loved your reaction to *NSYNC :) luckily we only have to drive about 30 minutes to the airport so it's not too bad.

    1. Aahahaa! I was in so much shock, I couldn't believe it actually happened! Good times! :0) That's not a bad drive at all for the airport!

  3. We usually fly out of NOLA. Usually we can get a direct flight to wherever we need to go versus having to change repeatedly out of Baton Rouge. If there is only one layover and depending on the price, then I'd prefer BTR obviously but usually the convenience of a direct flight and the price usually is what makes us lean more towards NOLA.

    1. When going to Orlando, we usually make the 3 hour drive to NOLA. I know it's crazy, but those flights are usually way cheaper than the flights around us, and they are direct! Direct flights score bonus points in my book! We've never flown out of Baton Rouge, but your description is how Lafayette is for us...if we fly out of Laffy, we usually have to stop and change planes and I try to avoid that if at all possible!

  4. It depends on cost and convenience and schedule. I live in Orange County, so I can go out of OC, Long Beach or LAX. I prefer to go nonstop if possible, and that usually involves driving up to LAX, especially if the flight is some distance. Booking flights generally involves some shopping!

    1. It's nice you have so many options! I agree, I like to shop for cheaper flights before booking anything.
